2023 Valspar Championship is set to be played at the TInnisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida, USA between 16 and 19 March.
What to know about the tournament
The tournament, which is part of the PGA Tour, was founded in 2000 as the Tampa Bay Classic, and was originally an alternate event in autumn and late summer.
American manufacturer of paint and coatings, Valspar Corporation became title sponsor of the event in 2013 hence the event is known as the Valspar Championship.
Fijian golf legend Vijay Singh set the tournament record in 2004 with 266 (−18) and won by five strokes. and the event was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2023 Valspar Championship will be a 144-player field played out over four days and it is the 20th event of the 2022-2023 PGA Tour regular season.
Nine players who are in the top 50 on the Official World Golf Rankings will be part of the field at the TInnisbrook Resort and Golf Club as they seek glory.
Favourites
This year's field is headlined by 2015 Valspar Championship winner Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Justin Rose as well as reigning champion Sam Burns.
Matt Fitzpatrick and Luke Donald – some of Great Britain’s top professional golfers have committed to this year's tournament.
With the inclusion of Fitzpatrick (13), the Valspar Championship has four members of the OWGR top 15 in its field - also Thomas (10), Spieth (14) and Burns (15).

What Is At Stake
The Valspar Championship will offer Official World Golf Ranking points to the winner, with final points ratings determined ahead of the tournament teeing off on Thursday.
The field will be competing for a $8,1 million purse and the winner's share is $1,458 million. The winner will also lift a trophy which is a distinctive cast bronze sculpture.
