Alex Rins will be keen to move closer to Marc Marquez's
Grand Prix of the Americas record by winning this weekend's race.

The Yamaha rider missed out on a podium spot at the Argentine MotoGP on 16 March, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Rins finished 11th in the race and 12th in the sprint event which saw him collect a total of five points at the Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo.
Standings
The 29-year-old is placed 16th on the riders' standings having accumulated five points from two races.
Bagnaia, who is the 2011 CEV Buckler 125 Junior GP Champion, is now 69 points behind the leader Marc Marquez of Ducati.
Why Rins could win the 2025 Grand Prix of the Americas
The former Suzuki rider is a two-time winner of this Grand Prix of the Americas, having won the race in 2019 and 2023 as a KTM rider on both occasions.
Rins, who also won this race as a Moto2 rider in 2016, will be eager to win the race for the MotoGP event for the third time and move closer to Marquez's record (seven wins).
What did he say?
"Today was tough. It was my decision to race with the soft rear tyre. Yesterday, after the Sprint, all the data pointed towards the medium rear tyre for the Race," Rins said after the 2025 Argentine MotoGP.
"But I tried it in this morning’s Warm Up, and the feeling was not good, so I decided to go for the soft. It was actually quite difficult to manage all the race with the soft. I had to be very gentle to manage the tyre life.
"The front of the M1 is super nice, but there are some other areas we need to work on."
