Russell Henley will be hoping to make it back to victories in the 2025 PGA Tour schedule by winning
The Players Championship.
What to know about Henley
The American star made his professional debut in September 2011 and a year later, he won the Nationwide Tour's Chiquita Classic, defeating Patrick Cantlay and Morgan Hoffmann in a playoff.
Henley has won eight professional tournaments so far, including five PGA events and he finished fourth in the Masters Tournament in 2023 - his best performance in a golf major.

The 2010 Haskins Award winner was in action in the recent Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida, USA, where he was crowned champion.
Henley is currently ranked seventh in the Official World Golf Ranking and it is also his best overall ranking.

The three-time Web.com Tour winner will be oozing with confidence after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational by one stroke over Collin Morikawa, having chipped in for an eagle while the latter made par.
Henley has been playing some of his best golf this season, having finished 10th at the Sony Open in Hawaii, fifth in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM, and sixth in the Cognizant Classic before winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

“That was a cut 5-iron. I don’t remember the last time ... I don’t practice that shot a lot,” Henley said after outclassing Morikawa in a playoff round at the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
“I’m not trying to hit a high and soft cut 5-iron very often. I’m just trying to hit it straight to a little draw. So when that one came off and hit the green, I just thought, 'Man, that was a really nice feeling.’”
