Current Form

The White and Violets suffered a 2-1 loss to RCD Espanyol away on 17 January and it was their second defeat in their last three matches in the Spanish top tier.

However, Valladolid are undefeated in their last two home matches in this competition having registered two successive wins at the Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla.

Meanwhile, Madrid emerged as 4-1 winners over Las Palmas at home on 19 January and they are now unbeaten in their last five matches in La Liga.

Los Blancos are also undefeated in their last three league matches on the road having registered two victories and one draw as the away side.

Team News

Valladolid have no suspension concerns, but Raúl Moro and Eray Cömert are on the club's injury list.

On the other hand, Madrid will be without the suspended Vinicius Junior, while his teammates Eduardo Camavinga, Éder Militão and Dani Carvajal are all out injured.

Quotes
“I'm confused because I heard that we’re terrible at football and what I see is that Real Madrid are top," Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said after his side's win over Palmas.

"I will continue to study where they’re going wrong. Today we gave a complete and rounded performance, with lots of quality and attitude. We started badly but it didn't change our approach.

“(Kylian) Mbappé’s great form is helping us a lot. Our work today was very good. We managed to get the right balance to handle the good moments and the difficult ones.”

Head-to-Head

Madrid claimed a 3-0 win over Valladolid in their last meeting in La Liga in a match played at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on 24 August.

Therefore, Los Blancos are unbeaten in their last 16 league games against the White and Violets having registered 14 wins and two draws.
