2020-21 FA Cup

8-11 January 2021
Aston Villa will host top-flight rivals Liverpool in a third round
2020-21 FA Cup tie at Villa Park on Friday evening. Kick-off is at 21:45.
The two teams have already met in the Premier League this season with Villa claiming a memorable 7-2 win on the back of an Ollie Watkins hat-trick and Jack Grealish brace.

Villa are seven-time FA Cup champions, but haven't won England's most prestigious cup competition since 1957. The Birmingham club reached the 2015 final before losing 4-0 to Arsenal at Wembley Stadium.
Liverpool are also seven-time FA Cup winners. The Reds' most recent victory in the tournament came back in 2006 when they defeated West Ham United on penalties at Millennium Stadium following a 3-3 draw. Their last final appearance came back in 2012, a game which they lost 2-1 to Chelsea.
Villa are on a five-game losing streak in the FA Cup following a 2-1 loss to Fulham at the same stage last season. Liverpool exited the tournament last season in the fifth round following a 2-0 loss to the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
This will be the first FA Cup meeting between Villa and Liverpool since 2015 when goals from Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph spearheaded the Claret & Blue Army to a 2-1 semi-final win.
