Round 25 of the 2018/19 Absa Premiership season is headlined by a clash between Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates in Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon.
With league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns not in domestic action due to their participation in the CAF Champions League, the match between the Clever Boys and the Buccaneers will allow one of the teams to move to the top of the log with a victory.
Saturday also sees Kaizer Chiefs looking to move up the table when they host relegation threatened Baroka FC at FNB Stadium. The Amakhosi are unbeaten in their last five league matches and beat another ‘basement dweller’, Maritzburg United, in their previous home game back in early March.
The round opens on Friday with Maritzburg facing a must-win clash at home to Bloemfontein Celtic, while the following day also sees Highlands Park host Free State Stars, Cape Town City head to Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium to take on Golden Arrows and AmaZulu will look to arrest a slide in their form when they host Chippa United.
The round wraps up on Sunday afternoon with a Limpopo derby clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, as Polokwane City host Black Leopards. Lidoda Duvha got the better of Rise and Shine when the teams met earlier in the season and will be looking to complete a ‘double’ to boost their survival hopes.
