The world of football moves at such a fast pace, there’s hardly any time to reflect on past events. One major tournament starts as soon as the previous one ends. It feels like only yesterday when we were watching the French national team lift the World Cup in Russia.

What Are The Euros

The European Championship, or otherwise known as the Euros, is an international tournament played amongst countries within the European football union.

55 teams were spit into ten groups of five and six, these countries will battle each other out to advance to the finals, whereas the last 4 spots will be won via a play off.

Where Will They Be Held?

Traditionally, major tournaments such as these are held in one country and are chosen via a bidding system. This year things are slightly different.
 
Matches will be held in different European cities such as Amsterdam, Baku, Bilbao, Munich, St Petersburg and Budapest to name a few.
 
The final will be held at Wembley Stadium in London, Sunday 12 July 2020.
