2024/25 Italian Serie A
Matchday 6
SSC Napoli v AC Monza
Stadio Diego Armando Maradona
Naples, Italy
Sunday, 29 September 2024
Kick-off is at 20h45
SSC Napoli will be looking to prolong AC Monza's winless run in the Serie A when they meet at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on 29 September.
Current Form
The Little Donkey managed to hold Juventus FC to a 0-0 draw away on 21 September as they extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the Italian top-flight.
Napoli are also unbeaten in their last three home matches in this competition, having recorded one draw and two successive wins at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Meanwhile, Monza suffered a 2-1 defeat to Bologna FC at home on 22 September and they are winless in their last 14 matches in Serie A.
However, the White and Reds are also winless in their last seven away matches in this competition, having registered four draws and three defeats as the visitors.
Team News
Napoli have no suspension concerns and they are yet to report injuries in their camp.
Monza, on the other hand, have Alessio Cragno, Patrick Ciurria, Samuele Birindelli, Samuele Vignato and Roberto Gagliardini on their injury list, but there are no suspension worries.
Quotes
"I realise the difficulty of getting a draw away to Juventus, a team that was 18 points away from Napoli last season,” Napoli manager Antonio Conte told DAZN after his side's draw against Juventus.
“We worked on this system, I am moderately satisfied with the defence, but we could’ve done far better in attack and I think we had the clearest scoring opportunities. I think we did it well with the midfielders.
"Romelu [Lukaku] still needs to get into the kind of shape that I require. I had asked for consistency and it was a good performance in terms of focus, but we can and must do better when we have the ball, as there were some favourable situations.”
Head-to-Head
Napoli secured a 4-2 win over Monza in their last league meeting on 7 April at the U-Power Stadium.
Therefore, the Little Donkeys are undefeated in their last two matches in Serie A against White and Reds, having recorded one win and one draw.
