The Gauteng Derby clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs will headline this weekend's
DStv Premiership action.
Sundowns will play host to Chiefs at the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue, Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday, September 12.
Masandawana extended their unbeaten run to 10 matches in the league when they drew 0-0 with Chippa United away in their last game on August 24.
They are also undefeated in their last five home matches in the DStv Premiership having registered four successive wins and one draw.
Meanwhile, Chiefs stretched their unbeaten run to four matches in this competition when they secured a 2-1 win over Baroka FC at home in their previous match on August 25.
Amakhosi are also undefeated in their last two away matches in the league having registered one victory and one draw.
“I’m taking it each step at a time. I’m not in a hurry to be at the top. It’s a process for me and that goes for the team as well," Keagan Dolly, the Chiefs winger, said after the win over Baroka.
"We are focused on what we set out to achieve throughout the season. It’s only the second game. There are a lot of positives we can take from this game and also a lot we need to work on.
"With each game we will just get better."
Chiefs' arch-rivals, Orlando Pirates are set to take on Swallows FC in the Soweto Derby clash at the Orlando Stadium on September 11.
The Buccaneers extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the DStv Premiership when they drew 0-0 with Marumo Gallants away in their last game on August 24.
They are also unbeaten in their last four home matches having recorded two successive draws and two consecutive victories as the hosts.
On the other hand, Swallows stretched their unbeaten run to three matches in the league when they drew 0-0 with AmaZulu FC away in their previous game on August 25.
However, the Beautiful Birds are winless in their last 10 away matches in this competition having registered two defeats and eight draws on the road.
The last match of the round will be between AmaZulu and SuperSport United at the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium on September 14.

However, AmaZulu are undefeated in their two home matches in this competition having recorded one victory and one draw as the hosts.
While SuperSport extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the DStv Premiership when they thrashed Lamontville Golden Arrows 3-1 in their previous game on August 25.
However, Matsatsantsa are winless in their last 10 away matches in the league having registered four defeats and six draws as the visitors.
