South Africa will take on Libya in the
2019 CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualification Group E match in Durban on Saturday, September 8.
Bafana Bafana were beaten 2-1 by Senegal away in their last competitive match in November 2017 which was a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
South Africa had opened their 2019 AFCON qualifying group campaign with a 2-0 win over Nigeria away in June 2017.
The 1996 AFCON champions have won four of their last five matches in all competitions, while the other game ended in a defeat.
Meanwhile, Libya held Tunisia to a 0-0 draw away in their last competitive game in November 2017 which was a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The Mediterranean Knights thumped Seychelles 5-1 at home in their first game in the 2019 AFCON qualifying group.
The 1982 AFCON runners-up have lost three of their last five matches in all competitions - winning the other two games.
This will be the first-ever meeting between South Africa and Libya.
