Keith Mitchell is hoping for more consistency off the tee at the inaugural
Black Desert Championship after struggling on the back nine last weekend.
The American put himself in a strong position to win a first PGA Tour title since 2019 at the Sanderson Farms Championship following a good second shot on the 18th to leave him with a 35-foot birdie putt.

But Mitchell three-putted the 72nd hole to drop out of contention for a playoff with Kevin Yu and Beau Hossler as he finished T3 alongside Lucas Glover.
It was his best performance of 2024 and a fourth top-10 finish, the previous one (T10) coming at the RBC Canadian Open in June.

The 32-year-old, who hails from Chattanooga in Tennessee, didn't think he deserved to win at the Country Club of Jackson given the way he played the last nine holes.
"I didn't have my best on the back nine, I think 18 was the only fairway I hit so I didn't really deserve to [win] - I mean I don't really deserve anything out here, I'm just lucky to be on Tour - but I didn't have my best stuff at the end and I hate that I finished with a three-putt," he said.
"But I felt like I grinded all the way to the end and gave the first putt a really good chance... I really putted great all week except 18 and I feel like my driver is my strength, ball-striking has been my strength and it was not on the back nine.
"So the fact that I can lean heavy on it for 71 holes I feel confident about that."
