After finishing in 3rd position at the Japanese Grand Prix earlier this month, six-time world champion Marc Marquez will target another podium finish at the upcoming Australian Grand Prix this weekend.
The Spaniard made it no secret that he did not enjoy the Twin Ring Motegi circuit and described the race as ‘super boring’ after clinching his 8th podium of the season.
Marquez finished the race +3.822s behind 2nd placed Jorge Martin and has now accumulated 311 points in 4th position on the rider’s standings.

As one of the most vastly experienced drivers in the sport, Marquez has three wins and four podium finishes at the Australian Grand Prix.
Nevertheless, Marquez will no doubt hope for a more eventful race this coming weekend after lamenting the Japanese showpiece.

"It was a super boring race. There were no overtakes we were just doing our rhythm," Marquez said.
"At this race track when you are close to another rider it makes braking a lot more difficult. But I am happy, I am super happy.
"I knew with that medium rear tyre for some reason I did not feel comfortable, like the soft one yesterday. But I knew it was the best option to be back on the podium, the soft option was too risky.
"So, I am happy, another podium, a difficult weekend but we are on the podium again so super happy."
