Fabio Quartararo will be looking to pull away from the chasing pack in the race for the MotoGP world title by winning the
Australian Grand Prix.
The Yamaha rider is struggling for form at the moment, but he remains firmly in the race for the championship having won three races this season.
Quartararo endured a forgettable race at the most recent event in the current season which was the Thailand MotoGP on October 2 - finishing 17.

The Frenchman braved the challenging conditions, but unfortunately, despite his best efforts he was unable to make headway and crossed the line in 17th place.
The Thailand MotoGP was won by Miguel Oliveira with the Ducati duo of Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia finishing second and third respectively.
Quartararo is still placed at the top of the 2022 riders' standings with Bagnaia and Aleix Espargaro of Aprilia placed second and third respectively with three races left.
The reigning MotoGP world champion will open a gap at the top of the standings if he wins the Australian MotoGP, and move closer to successfully retaining his championship.

"Rain fell at the worst possible time for us. We had not much-wet track time before the race started - just a few minutes," Quartararo said after the Thailand MotoGP.
"The first laps of the race were really tricky. I was pushed wide by Jack in Turn 1 and it only got worse from there. I was trying to find a good feeling, but in Turn 4 I had a moment, and the visibility was really bad.
"I'm sorry for the Thai fans. I had hoped to do a better race in front of them. We have an idea why we struggled that much, but we will investigate more to improve for the future. We'll try to come back stronger in Australia."
Ducati are placed at the top of the Constructors' championship standings and they are followed by Aprilia and Yamaha respectively.
