Robert Streb will be keen to continue his dominance in the
RSM Classic by winning the tournament for a record-extending third time.
What to know about Streb
The American star is a veteran golfer who turned professional in 2009 having played collegiate golf at Kansas State University.
Streb has won six professional tournaments to date including two events that are part of the PGA Tour and two Web.com Tour competitions.
Latest news
The last time the experienced golfer was in action in a professional tournament was at the recent Bermuda Butterfield Championship where he finished 70th.
Streb is currently placed 617th on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), and his best overall ranking is 31st.
Why Streb is one of the favourites
The 37-year-old's two wins in the PGA Tour both came in the RSM Classic - registering his first win in 2014 when the tournament was still known as the McGladrey Classic.
Streb then won in a playoff over Kevin Kisner at the RSM Classic in 2020 and his experience could be key to him winning this weekend's event to assert his dominance in the tournament.
What did he say
"It was tough. I felt like things were starting to get a little better and I wasn’t quite getting the results, but I wasn’t expecting this, either,’ said Streb after winning the 2020 RSM Classic.
"It’s really nice to say I’ve got more than one. Winning more than once validates what ability you have. It was just kind of unexpected and super nice to get."
