Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool

Tottenham will be looking to capitalise on Liverpool's poor run of form in the Premier League when they lock horns at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, November 6.

Spurs haven't beaten the Reds in the top flight since October 2017, although they did manage to earn draws both home and away last season, which halted a sequence of six consecutive league defeats.

Antonio Conte's side returned to winning ways at the weekend with a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth, courtesy of Rodrigo Bentancur's 92nd-minute goal.

The north Londoners had lost their previous two games against Manchester United (2-0) and Newcastle (2-1), with the last-gasp win at the Vitality Stadium keeping them in third place.

Conte stressed the importance of getting a response from his players after they battled back from 2-0 down to come away from the south coast with three precious points.

"The feeling, for sure, is positive. Also, (even) if we didn't take the three points, I've seen a good reaction from my players. This is very important," the Italian told SPURSPLAY.

"They showed me great character, great desire, great will. I think, honestly, that sometimes we lose a bit of confidence in our potential, in the way that we are good. At the end, for us, it was vital, this win, especially after two losses."

The Merseysiders suffered their fourth loss of the campaign after going down 2-1 to Leeds at Anfield last Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp's team had also lost 1-0 to newly-promoted Nottingham Forest the previous weekend and they are way off the pace in ninth position, trailing league leaders Arsenal by 15 points after 12 games.

Klopp acknowledges their prospects of even finishing in the top four looks doubtful at the moment given the lack of consistency, insisting they need to start winning football matches.

"That's actually not my main worry in the moment because there are a lot of other worries but yeah, of course," the German said.

"I am at least not that dumb that I don't know distances and I know who is up there, but you cannot qualify for the Champions League if you play as inconsistent as we do in the moment.

"So, how I said, we have to fix that and we will see where we end up. We all know that everything is possible, or a lot of things are possible, but for that you have to win football games and we didn't do that often enough yet."
