Table-toppers Man City welcome Arsenal, who are gunning for a top-four spot in the Premier League, to the Etihad on Super Sunday as they look to extend their lead over the rest of the chasing pack.

Manchester City vs Arsenal

Sunday, November 5th
The Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Kick-off at 14:15 (2:15pm) GMT

Pep Guardiola's men come into this fixture in stunning form both domestically and in Europe, having won nine of their opening 10 fixtures and remain the only undefeated side left in the Premier League. They have scored an astonishing 35 goals and have four players in the top seven in the race for the golden boot. Sergio Aguero is currently City’s leading marksmen with eight strikes to his name already. With a strong squad providing plenty of support, goals have been coming from everywhere. Raheem Sterling has seven, while the pair or Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus have six apiece.

Arsene Wenger has seen a real turnaround in his teams form in recent weeks. They capped off a difficult 10 days since defeat to London rivals Watford with fine comeback victory against Swansea City at The Emirates on Saturday. Aaron Ramsey scored his third goal of the campaign against the Welsh side to seal all three points and to keep the Gunners within touching distance of the trio of United, Spurs and Chelsea just ahead of them on the table. Wenger’s men have a shot at a successful season, relatively speaking. They are in the quarter-finals of the League Cup and have home comforts against Red Star Belgrade to look forward to in the Europa League on Thursday as they aim to book their place in the knock-out rounds.

All eyes will be on Alexis Sanchez on Sunday who was subject to a 60million pound offer from the Citizens in the summer, only for the move to fail to materialise. He will be key to any Arsenal hopes they have of putting an end to Man City’s dominant start. Arsenal beat City 2-1 the last time the sides faced back in April, at Wembley in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, on their way to lifting the trophy a month later with victory over Chelsea in the final. Nacho Monreal scored the equaliser after Sergio Aguero had put the Citizens in front before Sanchez scored the winner in extra-time. This will be the 179th league meeting between the pair and 192nd in all competitions (including FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield fixtures).
