The
2019 French Open will be played at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris between 26 May and 9 June.
This will be the 123rd edition of the French Open and it is the second grand slam of the year.
The men’s singles defending champion is Rafael Nadal, who has won a record 11 French Open titles.
The Spanish tennis icon will face stiff competition from Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Swiss superstar Roger Federer.
Current world number one Djokovic and record 20-time Grand Slam champion Federer have both won the tournament once.
Meanwhile,
Simona Halep is the defending women's singles champion having won last year's competition.
The Romanian star will be wary of the likes of Japanese starlet Naomi Osaka and American tennis icon Serena Williams.
Williams has won the tournament three times, while current world number one Osaka will be hoping to win it for the first time.
