What to know about the tournament
The tournament has been a premier event on the PGA Tour since 1968 and it is named after one of the greatest golfers of all time, Byron Nelson.
Dallas/Fort Worth’s biggest sports attraction and most anticipated social event of the spring is also the most financially successful charity event on the PGA Tour.

Tournament director Jon Drago has shared with The Dallas Morning News renderings of the double-deck structure that will surround the TPC Craig Ranch’s signature hole, the par-3 17th.
It has created a true stadium look and atmosphere on a hole that already was a fan favorite and Nelson officials estimated that about 3,500 fans surrounded the 17th hole for the Sunday round this year.
Jordan Spieth was set to be part of the 156-player field at the TPC Craig Ranch, but the American star withdrew from the tournament due to a wrist injury.

Lee Kyoung-hoon will defend his 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson title having also clinched the 2021 trophy.
K.H. Lee is set to face stiff competition from Scottie Scheffler, Tom Hoge, Hideki Matsuyama, Tyrrell Hatton and Tom Kim.
Furthermore, Sung Kang, Aaron Wise, Sangmoon Bae, Jason Dufner, Jason Day and Adam Scott are all past champions in the field for this week's AT&T Byron Nelson.

What Is At Stake
The 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson will offer Official World Golf Ranking points to the winner, with final points ratings determined ahead of the event teeing off on Thursday.
The tournament boasts a purse of $20 million and the winner of the event will earn their share of $3.6 million, while also receiving a Byron Nelson Waterford crystal trophy.
