Villarreal CF will square off with Real Sociedad in a
Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio de la Cerámica on May 15.
This will be the 46th match between the two sides across all competitions since the 1998/99 season when Villarreal made their debut in the Spanish top-flight.
Villarreal have the upper hand in this rivalry having claimed 19 wins compared to Sociedad's 10 victories, while 16 games ended in a draw.

The last meeting between the two teams in La Liga ended in a 3-1 win in favour of Villarreal at the Reale Arena on 18 December 2021.
Meanwhile, Villarreal were held to a 1-1 draw by Sevilla FC in their last game at home in the league which was played on May 8.
The draw extended the Yellow Submarine's unbeaten run at the Estadio de la Cerámica to 11 matches in this competition having registered four draws and seven wins as the hosts.
While Sociedad succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to UD Levante in their last away game in La Liga which was played on May 6.
The White and Blues are now winless in their last two matches in this league on the road having recorded one draw and one defeat as the visitors.

“We played a very good game. We have achieved everything that was possible, such as neutralising the rival," Villarreal manager Unai Emery said after their draw with Sevilla.
"We have had chances. There have been many controversial decisions which harmed us, but I am very happy with the team's work. We have to give value to the draw.
"But it's a shame because we deserved the victory. I try to make us all better and I'm very happy with the team's work. My only indignation was with things that were not up to us," he added.
"We have done what we had to do, I am very happy about it. The indignation is there in the players due to the result, but their work has been magnificent."
