The Red Devils have been in great form of late and are unbeaten in 14 matches after a 3-1 comeback win at Aston Villa over the past weekend.
Victory moved United within 10 points of Manchester City and while Pep Guardiola's men remain well and truly in the driving seat, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping that his troops can make it as uncomfortable as possible for their crosstown rivals.
"That would be the biggest upset in football history but at least we don’t travel back to a party on the blue side tonight," Solskjaer told the BBC.
"We'll try to delay it as long as we can," he added in a post-match interview with Sky Sports.
Leicester suffered a blow in their pursuit of a top four finish with a shock 4-2 defeat at home to Newcastle United.
With tough games to come, Brendan Rodgers has called on his team to rise to the occasion.
"We have made it a lot harder for ourselves but it is still in our hands," said Rodgers. "We have to fight and we are a group that is together.
"We have already beaten our total from last season. We have to embrace the challenge. We have three exciting games left plus a cup final and we are excited for the challenge."

When the two teams met earlier this season at King Power Stadium, the game ended in a 2-2 draw. United took the lead on two occasions through Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes but a Harvey Barnes strike and an Axel Tuanzebe own goal earned the Foxes a point.
