As host, legendary American golfer Byron Nelson commonly made appearances during the tournament which was established in 1944.

American golfer Aaron Wise is the defending champion having won the AT & A Byron Nelson title last year.
Three-time major winner Jordan Spieth of the USA will headline this year's field which includes several big name players.
Swedish star Henrik Stenson, Japanese golfer Hideki Matsuyama and the USA's Patrick Reed will also particpate in the tournament.
American legend Tom Watson is the most successful golfer in the history of the AT & T Byron Nelson having won four titles.
The 2019 AT & T Byron Nelson offers a $7.9 million purse with a winner's share of $1.4 million.
