Phoenix Suns v Boston Celtics

Tip-off at 04:00

The Phoenix Suns will be aiming to build on their four-game winning streak when they go up against an in-form Boston Celtics at the Footprint Centre on Thursday morning.

Thanks to their recent strong performances, the Suns have nearly caught the Dallas Mavericks for the final Western Conference Play-In spot, trailing by just half a game.

The Suns have had a disappointing season so far, but they have managed to build a hot streak lately. Kevin Durant's significant contributions to the Phoenix Suns' recent winning streak earned him Western Conference Player of the Week honours on Monday.

The Suns appear poised for major changes this offseason, given their three max-contract stars haven't achieved expected results.

When questioned about the possibility of being traded, Devin Booker acknowledged that no player is truly safe, especially after the Dallas Mavericks' surprising trade of Luka Doncic, a 26-year-old top-tier talent, to the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Look at the situation that got Luka here," Booker told FOX Sports. "I understand that it's a business. I've been around a long time. The Luka one is probably the craziest trade we've seen. But the game just keeps going."

As for the Boston Celtics, the Eastern Conference side are on a six match winning streak and will also be looking to build on it in this clash.

The team is dealt with a blow though, as key man Jayson Tatum is injured after enduring a dangerous tackle in the team’s game against the Sacramento Kings.

Tatum, alongside reigning Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, has been instrumental in Boston's success, leading them to a 53-19 record, good for second place in the East.
