"We didn't get scared and we showed our maturity. We could've drawn level in the first half but got what we deserved in the second," Villarreal manager Unai Emery said after their draw with Juventus.

"They didn't leave us space and much chance to run in behind them. They put [Mattia] De Sciglio on the opposite flank on his wrong foot to deal with [Samuel] Chukwueze.

"He [Dusan Vlahovic] makes the difference. He did it in the first minute and could've done so again late on. To keep him anonymous 100% of the time is difficult – you need him to slip up – but we did a brilliant job on both him and [Alvaro] Morata," he added.

"The best part about tonight was the maturity we showed. We conceded but the side bounced back, drew level and we wanted to win. We need to go to Turin and win."

Juventus will host Villarreal for the first time in a competitive match.
