The 2024 Dutch TT is set to be held in a city in the Northeastern Netherlands and is the capital of the province of Drenthe, Assen on 30 June.
What to know about the Motul TT
The Dutch Tourist Trophy (TT), also known as the TT Assen, and also sometimes known as the Dutch Motorcycle Grand Prix, was established in 1925.
It is held on the TT Circuit Assen which is also known as the ‘Cathedral of Speed' and this event attained world championship status in 1949.
Most recent race
The Italian MotoGP which was the seventh round of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship calendar took place on 2 June.
The race was won by Francesco Bagnaia, who was followed by his Ducati teammates Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin, who finished second and third respectively.
Standings
Martin is still placed at the top of the 2024 MotoGP riders' standings followed by Bagnaia and Ducati's Marc Marquez respectively, as the trio battle for the MotoGP world title.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati, who won the 2023 title, are sitting at the top - followed by KTM and Aprilia respectively.
Favourites
Martin will be the favourite to win the Dutch TT, but he will face stiff competition from the likes of Bagnaia and Marquez.
Bastianini, who is placed fourth in the riders' standings, will also be eyeing the Dutch TT title after finishing second at the 2024 Italian MotoGP.

“For sure we expected more today," South Africa's Brad Binder of KTM said after finishing 10th at the 2024 Italian MotoGP which sees him placed seventh in the riders' standings.
"But the reality is that once we started rolling we just didn’t have the pace to go with the guys in front. I tried my best but when I started to push I kept losing the front and couldn’t hold the line well.
"It was a tricky race today and we’re lucky we have a test tomorrow because we have a lot of ideas and we’d like to find a direction to work in.”
