South Africa will face off with Wales in the
Castle Lager Incoming Series first test match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday.
The Springboks were beaten 27-26 by England away in their last game which was an international friendly match on 20 November 2021.
The defeat ended the reigning rugby world champions' three-match unbeaten across all competitions having recorded three successive wins.
The Springboks are undefeated in their last three matches played in South Africa, having recorded three consecutive wins since losing to the British and Irish Lions on 27 July 2021.

South Africa assistant coach Deon Davids has insisted that they would not underestimate Wales as they started their preparations for their clash with Wales.
“The set pieces are always challenging in Test matches, so we will need to deliver quality performances there to build momentum and also stop the opposition in those areas,” said Davids.
“Over and above the scrums, the lineouts and mauls are also going to be important in the match against a very competitive Wales side.
“In our last game we scored a try toward the end of the match and that put us ahead, so it will be a tough game.”

Meanwhile, Wales suffered a 22-21 defeat to Italy at home in their previous match which was a Six Nations encounter on 19 March 2022.
Therefore, the Dragons are winless in their last three matches across all competitions having recorded three successive defeats.
Wales are also winless in their previous three away matches having registered three defeats in a row on the road.
The last meeting between South Africa and Wales was on 6 November 2021.
South Africa emerged as 23-18 winners over Wales in an international friendly match which was played at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
