2024 Genesis Scottish Open is scheduled to take place at Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland between 11 and 14 July.
What to know about the tournament
Established in 1972, the first Scottish Open tournament was part of the European Tour in the same year and it became part of the PGA Tour in 2022.
The Scottish Open became a Rolex Series event in 2017 (when the series was inaugurated) and its title sponsor is Genesis - a South Korean luxury vehicle brand.

The Scottish Open offers the final opportunity for European Tour members to play their way into The 152nd Open at Royal Troon (The Open Championship).
The event is the 16th and last in The Open Qualifying Series (OQS), which has so far seen 41 players book their spots in the field for the final Major Championship of the year
There are three places on offer to the leading three players, not already exempt, who make the cut at this week’s second Rolex Series event of the 2024 Race to Dubai schedule.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy and top golfers Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, Ludvig Åberg and Collin Morikawa will headline the 2024 Scottish Open field.
Min Woo Lee (2021), Aaron Rai (2020), Justin Rose (2014), Luke Donald (2011) and Rickie Fowler (2015) are some of the former Scottish Open champions on the field.
Davis Thompson, who won the most recent event on the PGA Tour, will also be part of the 156-player field.
What Is At Stake
The 2024 Genesis Scottish Open purse is set for $9 million, with the winner receiving $1,62 million and 500 FedEx Cup points, and 5,000 Race to Dubai Rankings points for European Tour golfers.
The champion will also receive a trophy which is inspired by the quaich; a Scottish drinking vessel that's over 400 years old.
