Lando Norris will be banking on home-ground advantage as he looks to win the British Grand Prix for the first time in his career.

The McLaren driver endured a disappointing race at the most recent event in the 2024 Formula One campaign which was the Austrian Grand Prix on 30 June.
Norris started on the second grid, but he slipped up after being involved in a collision and finished 20th, but he got six points from finishing third in the sprint classification.
Formula One title ambitions
The British racing driver is still placed second in the World Drivers' Championship standings having accumulated 156 points.
Norris is 81 points behind the leader Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing and the former is mounting a serious challenge for the Formula One world title.
Why Norris could win the 2024 British Grand Prix
Norris has already tasted success this season having on the Miami Grand Prix and he is now competing in front of his home crowd.
The 2017 FIA F3 European Championship winner finished second in the 2023 British Grand Prix and he will be keen to go one step further, and win the race this weekend.
What did he say?
“Tough race! The first half was challenging because I didn’t really have the pace, but it improved in the final stint and felt very strong," Norris said after the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix.
"I made a number of attempts to go for the win, trying to avoid collisions, and frustratingly I got crashed into by Max, which ended my day early. There was nothing more I could do. The team did a great job this weekend and we gave a very strong race until the contact.
"It’s unfortunate and hurts but it’s time to move on to the next one. I’m looking forward to racing in front of my home fans at Silverstone. We’ll be fighting for another strong result to finish the triple header on a high.”
