Mamelodi Sundowns legend, Hlompho Kekana known for his impressive collection of 12 title wins and spending over a decade at Sundowns winning 10 trophies with the club. Though retired, Hlompho’s kick still packs a punch and almost ripped through the net at the Discovery park.

Proff, football journalist for over a decade and Betway Squad Captain finally decided to put the pen down and join the players on the field captaining his team the Proff-essionals. Despite his passion and impressive display of athletisism, his career swop was cut short by an injury.

Lucky Lekgwathi, arguably Orlando Pirates’ greatest captain. The last captain to have won Orlando Pirates a DSTV Premiership league title and the only captain to win a double treble with Orlando Pirates. Lucky captained his team to a position 3 finish in the group stages and was later signed by Thomas’, Mlambo #5 where he played a great role in the team’s position 3 finish.

Thomas Mlambo, veteran sportscaster, and Betway Squad Captain took on a different role this past weekend. Popularly known as jersey number 10, he displayed flare on the field and as expected, managed to commentate the attention away from his teams’ 3rd position finish.

Portia Modise, former Banyana Banyana captain and the team’s highest goal scorer of all time, graced the tournament with her presence. Portia lived up to her legendary standard, scoring goals for The Fiso 5.

The games were played in a 5 aside format where teams were split into Group A and B. The top two teams at the end of the round progressed to the semi-final which saw a battle between Shabba & The Ranks v Real OG’s as well as Radebe Big 5 v Mlambo #5.

The final was a legendary clash, which saw ex-Bafana Bafana stars, Lucas Radebe and Siphiwe Tshabalala captaining their teams through a nail-biting match. Lucas' side reigned supreme, winning the tournament with an unbeatable finish.
