2022/23 English Premier League
Matchday 22
Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
London, England
Sunday, 5 February 2023
Kick-off is at 18h30
Manchester City will look to stay in touch with the
Premier League leaders when they travel to the capital to take on Tottenham on Sunday, February 5.
The Citizens maintained the five-point gap to Arsenal after beating Wolves 3-0 on January 22, courtesy of a hat-trick from Erling Haaland, who has now scored a remarkable 25 league goals this season.
Pep Guardiola's side faced Spurs as recently as January 19 when they battled back from two goals down to emerge 4-2 victors at the Etihad Stadium.

City will be without John Stones for the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the defender was forced off just before half-time with a suspected hamstring injury in the 1-0 FA Cup win over Arsenal on January 27.
"Today he was not ready. I saw it in the first minutes. Maybe he was tired. Today was not ready and when that happens you get injured," Guardiola confessed.
The north Londoners arrested a two-match losing streak with a 1-0 triumph over city neighbours Fulham on January 23 to close within three points of the top four in fifth place.
They are City's bogey team, having won four of their past 10 meetings across all competitions, including the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in 2019.
Antonio Conte has stressed the need to be more solid in defence after keeping only a sixth clean sheet of the campaign at Craven Cottage, having shipped a combined six goals against the Gunners and the Citizens prior to that.

"It was important to finish the game with a clean sheet, for Hugo [Lloris], for the whole team," Conte told SPURSPLAY after the clash with the Cottagers.
"As I said after the last game (against City), it was, in my opinion, incredible to concede 21 goals in our last 10 games, and this was not usual for my team, not usual for Tottenham, because if you continue to be one of the best attacks in the Premier League but you concede so many goals, for sure, you have to change something.
"Now, it has to be a starting point. There are 17 games to go 9in the Premier League) and we have to try to do our best. Then, at the end, we'll see our position on the table."
