Valencia CF will battle it out with Real Sociedad in a Spanish

The Bats succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid away in their previous league game that was played on January 22.

"The team did a great job in the first half. It's a very tough defeat because we had the game on the right track after a good first half," Valencia centre-back-cum-central midfielder Hugo Guillamon said after the defeat to Atletico.

"I can't explain how the three points got away from us. We knew they were going to squeeze us in the second half and we dropped too far back. We conceded a lot. When you concede so much, you end up paying for it. We have to be smarter in those situations. It's not the first time it's happened to us

However, Sociedad are winless in their three away matches in La Liga having registered two consecutive defeats and one draw as the visitors.
The last meeting between Valencia and Sociedad in a league match was on 21 November 2021.
The two teams played to a 0-0 draw in a match that was played at the Estadio de Anoeta which is also known as Reale Arena.
