Charley Hoffman will be looking to record his second victory in Mexico as a professional golfer when he tees off in the Mexican Open.
What to know about Hoffman
The American veteran qualified three times for the Buick Invitational as an amateur and in college and he was also a member of the 1998 NCAA championship team at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Since turning professional in 2000, Hoffman has won nine tournaments including four PGA Tour events, while also securing top 10 finishes at the Masters Tournament and US Open.

The San Diego, California-born golfer has been inactive since he participated in the 2025 WM Phoenix Open in Arizona, USA where he missed the cut.
Hoffman is currently ranked 100th on the Official World Golf Rankings and his best OWGR ranking is 20th.
Why Hoffman is among the favourites
The experienced golfer returns to Mexico where he won the 2014 OHL Classic at Mayakoba after he shot rounds of 66-68-67-66 for a 17-under one-shot victory over Shawn Stefani and earned $1,1 million.
Hoffman, 48, played some of his best golf at PGA Tour's The American Express last month and he finished fifth which makes him one of the favourites to win this weekend's Mexican Open.

"I've got a great chiropractor at home, I've got a good golf coach [and a] good team I built," Hoffman said during 2025 The American Express.
"Don't push it too hard on the practice anymore. Don't play too many events in a row. I probably spend more time in the gym staying healthy.
"And recovering than I do work at golf any longer, because ... this old dog's probably not going to learn any new shots, but if I'm healthy, I can still hit the good ones."
