Brendan Rodgers was full of praise for his team following their win in North London, considering they'd suffered a 3-0 defeat at the very same venue just three months prior.
The Leicester City manager told LCFC TV: “I’m so pleased. Right from the first whistle, we took the initiative in the game. We wanted to impose our way and show confidence. But I think what was pleasing is how we learnt from the last time we were here. We were 3-0 down and they played on the counter-attack.
“So, this was a game strategically where the players were first class in how they blocked off the space. We didn’t give away too many counter-attacks and we showed really good balance in our game.
"We showed a real maturity in managing the game today, which was really pleasing," he concluded.
The Red Devils moved up to third - a point behind Leicester - following a 6-2 thumping of Leeds United on Sunday as they stretched their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches.
“The effort they put in today, the boys, all the running they had to do, the closing down, and the moving to get away from our markers, with our fans in the stadium, it would have been even easier for them," said manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the aftermath.
"We found a way of getting them going, Just imagine if that had 75,000 people here, it would have gone down in history as one of the better Man United performances against Leeds here at home.”
United have won their last 10 Premier League away matches, but now face arguably their toughest test on the road this season.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 2-0 win for the visitors. Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard were on target for United as they secured a top four finish at the expense of their hosts.
