2024 BMW Championship is poised to be held in the city of Denver in Colorado, USA between 22 and 25 August.
What to know about the tournament
Having been established in 2007 as the Western Open, this tournament is the penultimate FedEx Cup playoff event on the PGA Tour schedule.
The Western Golf Association runs the BMW Championship which was named the Tournament of the Year by the PGA in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

At the penultimate playoff event, the top 50 golfers on the PGA Tour will compete to qualify for the season final according to the Western Golf Association.
World class golf and extreme tension are guaranteed and all proceeds from the BMW Championship benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation.

Defending champion Viktor Hovland and top golfers Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Xander Schauffele will headline the 2024 BMW Championship field.
Two-time BMW Championship champion Patrick Cantlay and 2015 winner Jason Day will be among the former champions in the 50-player field.
What Is At Stake
The 2024 BMW Championship purse is set for $20 million and the winner will receive $3,6 million.
The champion will also receive a trophy crafted from premium materials like sterling silver and 2,000 FedEx Cup points for winning the tournament.
