South Africa will take on England in the first match of their three-match
Test series in London between 17 and 21 August.
The Proteas are coming into this encounter having drawn 1-1 with England's second-tier side, Lions, after playing two 50-over matches.
The Lions won by six wickets in the first match on July 12, but South Africa won the second encounter by 107 runs three days later.
The Lions then racked up 672 in equally cavalier fashion to set up crushing innings and a 56-run win in a Test match against the Proteas last week.
"If we look at the game as a whole, (Friday) didn't go according to plan and (Thursday) was also tough," South Africa's wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne said after the series against the Lions
"We got a lot of positives out of the first two days. Obviously you want to come out on the right side of the result of any game you play.
"But we'll take the positives from this and go forward."

The last meeting between South Africa and England's first-tier side was last month.
Tabraiz Shamsi’s maiden five-wicket Twenty20 international haul helped the Proteas claim a 90-run thrashing of England as the Proteas completed a 2-1 series win.
The left-arm wrist-spinner took 5-24 as England, set 192 for the win, collapsed to 101 all out with 20 balls to spare after losing their last eight wickets for 49 runs.
South Africa and England will meet for the fourth time in a 154th test match.
England have dominated this rivalry having won 64 matches compared to South Africa's 34 wins, while 55 matches ended in a draw.
