The
2018 Italian Grand Prix is scheduled to be held between 1 and 2 September at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza this weekend.
This will be the 14th round of this year's Championship and it is one of the longest running events on the Formula One calendar.
Lewis Hamilton is the defending champion having won last year's Italian Grand Prix as a Mercedes driver.
The British driver will face stiff competition from Ferrari driver Vettel, Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas, Red Bull Racing duo Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.
Vettel is currently placed second on the 2018 drivers' championship standings having won the previous round which was the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix last weekend.
His close rival Hamilton, who finished second in Belgium, remains at the top of the standings - 17 points above second-placed Vettel.
Furthermore, Mercedes are still at the top of the constructors' championship standings - with Ferrari and Red Bull placed second, and third respectively.
Lewis is heading into the Italian Grand Prix as the joint-second most successful driver in the event. The 33-year-old and Brazilian legend Nelson Piquet have both won four titles.
One behind record-holder German legend Michael Schumacher, while Vettel has clinched three titles.
