2022/23 Italian Serie A
Matchday 32
SSC Napoli v US Salernitana
Stadio Diego Armando Maradona
Naples, Italy
Saturday, 29 April 2023
Kick-off is at 15h00
SSC Napoli will take on US Salernitana in an
Italian Serie A match at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on April 29.
Current Form
The Little Donkey secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Juventus FC away on April 23 as they extended their unbeaten run to three league games.
However, Napoli are winless in their last two home matches having recorded one draw and one defeat at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Salernitana, on the other hand, secured an impressive 3-0 win over US Sassuolo at home on April 22 as they stretched their unbeaten run to eight games in Serie A.
However, the Garnets are winless in their last five matches on the road having recorded one defeats and four successive draws as the visitors.
What Is At Stake
Napoli are still placed at the top of the league standings - 17 points clear of second-placed SS Lazio with seven matches left.
Luciano Spalletti's side will be looking to take another step towards clinching the championship by defeating Salernitana who are keen to avoid relegation.
Salernitana are placed 14th on the league standings and a win over Napoli would see the Garnets move further away from the bottom three spots.
Team News
Mário Rui, Giovanni Simeone and Matteo Politano are currently on Napoli's injury list and the club has no suspension concerns.
Salernitana also do not have suspension worries, but Diego Valencia, Domen Crnigoj, Giulio Maggiore and Federico Fazio are currently injured.
Key Players
Giacomo Raspadori came off the bench to score the winning goal against Juventus and the 23-year-old attacker will be keen to inspire Napoli to another win.
On the other hand, Boulaye Dia, who grabbed a goal and an assist against Sassuolo, will be determined to inspire Salernitana to another victory.

Quotes
"We need to wait before we pop any bottles, and hearts, because we still have a little way to go," Spalletti said after masterminding Napoli's win over Juventus.
"They played really well and it wasn't easy to do that so soon after being knocked out of the Champions League. I don't think we could have done any more tonight. It's obviously very satisfying to be here.
"It has been a tougher road here for me than for others who began from a higher level, those who earned respect from their playing careers and had the opportunity to lead a top team right from the start."
Head-to-Head
Napoli claimed a 2-0 win over Salernitana in their last meeting in the league which was on 21 January 2023 at the Stadio Arechi.
The Garnets are yet to defeat the Little Donkeys since they made their return to the Serie A in 2021 - recording three defeats from three games against Napoli.
