Bologna are also undefeated in their last three home matches having recorded two victories and one draw at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
Meanwhile, Milan were held to a 0-0 draw by Empoli FC at home on April 7 and they are now undefeated in their last two matches in the Serie A.
Rossoneri defeated SSC Napoli in their last game on the road and the win snapped their two-match winless run as the visitors.
What Is At Stake
Bologna find themselves placed eighth on the league standings and they will be keen to secure a top six finish and qualify for a UEFA club tournament.
While Milan are involved in the race top finish in the top four as they are placed fourth on the league standings - a point above fifth-placed Inter Milan.
Stefano Pioli's side will be eager to secure a win over Bologna in order to boost their ambitions of finishing in the top four.
Team News
The Greyhounds will be without Marko Arnautovic and Andrea Cambiaso who are currently injured, while Oriji Okonkwo has been handed a doping ban.
On the other hand, Pierre Kalulu and Zlatan Ibramohovic are currently on Milan's injury list, but the club has no suspension concerns.
Key Players
Riccardo Orsolini is the player to watch out for in this Bologna side having scored three goals in his last six league games including one against Atalanta.
While Milan's dangerman is Rafael Leao who has found the back of the net 10 times in the league and he has what it takes to single-handedly inspire his side to a win over Bologna.
Quotes
“It is certainly not the result we wanted and our regrets are more about the first half, where we could've pushed harder," Pioli said after their clash with Empoli.
"We played with intensity, allowing Empoli nothing at all, and did everything we needed to in the second half to win the game, but the ball didn't want to go in. This is a pity, but the team is in good shape.
"The result is negative, but not the performance. Clearly we expect goals from the strikers and we did create the chances, but we should've filled the penalty area better not just with the forwards, also the full-backs and midfielders. We were lacking something."
Head-to-Head
Milan claimed a 2-0 win over Bologna in their last meeting in the league which was on 27 August 2022 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Rossoneri are enjoying a 13-match unbeaten run in the league against the Greyhounds having recorded 11 wins and two draws.
