Phoenix Suns v Utah Jazz
NBA Regular Season
Saturday 1 May 2021
Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, Arizona
Tip-off at 04:00 CAT
The Phoenix Suns and the Utah Jazz will meet for an eagerly-anticipated
NBA Regular Season clash at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona on the morning of Saturday 1 May 2021. Tip-off is at 04:00 CAT.
The Suns have enjoyed an excellent campaign thus far, with only their opponents in this game sitting ahead of them in Western Conference. Any doubts that Phoenix could be contenders were blown away in a recent win over the highly-rated Milwaukee Bucks.
Suns coach Monty Williams believes it was a great dry run for what awaits them in the playoffs, and believes this clash falls into that category as well: "It was everything that the playoffs are," Williams said. "Emotion. Physical. Players making plays. Late-game situations. It was all of that. The resiliency and relentless attitude we showed down the stretch, on the road, in overtime, says a lot about the character of the guys in our locker room."

The Jazz, meanwhile, have continued to set the pace in the Western Conference, though they are far from invulnerable, as a 101-96 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves this past weekend demonstrated. It’s the second time that Utah have succumbed at home to Minnesota, with their tendency to give up possession costing them dearly.

"If we're giving up that many possessions, you make it virtually impossible," Utah coach Quin Snyder said. "You have to almost be perfect in other aspects of the game." Rudy Gobert added: "We just couldn't find a way to score, especially in the second half. They played hard, they played with energy and they forced us into a lot of turnovers."
