AFCON 2019 has drawn much attention to rising African footballers and some have caught the attention of PSL clubs adding much speculation in the way of transfers before the season kick-offs. Let’s take a look and what we can expect from the season ahead.

Sundowns

Tokelo Rantie

2018/19 champions Mamelodi Sundowns are never far from the news especially when it comes to luring players to Loftus Versfeld. Former Bafana Bafana striker, Tokelo Rantie has been linked with a possible move to Masandawana following a return to fitness after a rocky year in Turkey. He fell out of favour due to issues on and off the pitch and as a result never made an appearance for his club Genclerbirligi fc.

He’ll be looking to turn a new leaf should Pitso scoop him up and strengthen an already deadly attacking force in the team.

Khama Billiat

Speaking of making a return, Sundowns fans could soon welcome a familiar face in the form of Khama Billiat who’s also been linked with a big-money come-back. Speculation was fueled even further after it emerged that the Zimbabwean winger was the one who actually approached the Brazilians about moving back to Chloorkop.

If Billiat does indeed depart, it’ll be a huge blow for an Amakhosi side that performed poorly in both league and cup games.

Orlando Pirates

Thulani Hlatshwayo

Bidvest Wits have unveiled a host of new players, however a more pressing issue has overshadowed this. Will Thulani Hlatshwayo leave the club to join Orlando Pirates?

Hlatshwayo has dismissed this as media speculation and the defender would leave the club for greener pastures overseas.

Another player that could be on the way out is Pirates goalkeeper, Brilliant Khuzwayo. Injuries have hampered his season and have kept away from first-team action.

Kaizer Chiefs

Knowledge Musona

Amakhosi have been linked with a move to bring Knowledge Musona back to the ABSA Premiership in an attempt to strengthen a weakened 2018/19 outfit. However if Chiefs are to bring back the Zimbabwean striker back, they may need to break the bank.

Musona has hinted at a possible move this transfer window but the decision is solely based on what Anderlecht decide to do over the next coming days until the transfer window officially closes.
