Torino will be aiming to pull further clear of the relegation zone when they host Sassuolo in a
2020-21 Serie A match in Turin on Friday evening.

Granata followed five successive draws with a 1-0 win over 18th placed Cagliari last weekend to open a five-point gap between themselves and the drop zone.
“We managed to get the three points," said Torino head coach Davide Nicola in the aftermath. “I'm happy for the lads and for what they are giving.
“But also for the club, everyone who is giving their all. I didn't mind the game, we managed to keep a high line in the first part of the first half. Then, thanks to their quality, we adopted a different strategy and channelled our energy.
“In my experience, the mission is to be able to keep balance, the season is not over and we must still go a long way. You can also lose these games, we are looking for dialogue and balance."
Neroverdi's inconsistent form continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Bologna. Their strong start to the season is something of a distant memory as they now aim to battle their way back into the European places.

When the two teams met in Sassuolo earlier this season they played out to an incredible 3-3 draw. Torino held a 3-1 lead heading into the final six minutes of regulation time only for the hosts to score two quick-fire goals to earn a point. There were six different scorers on the day.
