The Sharks will play host to Stormers in the 2017 Super Rugby match at the Kings Park Stadium in Durban on Saturday afternoon. Sharks, who are placed third on the South African Group standings, defeated Sunwolves 38-17 in their previous league match last week Saturday.
As a result, the Durban side returned to winning ways in the Super Rugby. Before facing Sunwolves, they had lost 35-32 to Southern Kings. Sharks are undefeated at home this season. Lions remain the last team to beat Sharks in Durban in Super Rugby - when they won 24-9 in April 2016.
Stormers, who are placed second on the South African Group standings, are coming off a 30-22 victory over Blues last week Saturday. The victory ended their four-match losing streak in Super Rugby. They had lost to Lions, Crusaders, Highlands and Hurricanes during their losing streak.
The last time the Cape Town side tasted a victory on the road in the league was two months ago. They defeated Sunwolves 44-31 in their last away victory. Sharks and Stormers have met 23 times in competitive matches. The former have dominated this fixture winning 12 matches compared to Stormers' 11 wins.
