Sevilla FC will face off with FC Barcelona in a

Los Palanganas were held to a 1-1 draw by Elche away in their previous league game that was played on August 28.
The draw extended Sevilla's unbeaten run to four matches in this competition having recorded three successive wins and one draw.

Los Palangana are also undefeated in their three matches at home in La Liga having recorded three successive wins.
Meanwhile, Barcelona claimed a narrow 2-1 win over Getafe at home in their last league game which was played on August 29.
The win extended Barca's unbeaten run to four matches in this competition having recorded three victories and one draw.
Barcelona are also undefeated in their last five matches on the road in La Liga having recorded two draws and three wins as the visitors.

"In games like today's, last season we lost points and today we won [against Getafe]. This is very important," Ronald Koeman, the Barcelona manager, said.
"I am very happy with the three points. It was a difficult game and we know how to suffer. Our game with the ball has not been so good.
"Psychologically it has been very important. We know how to suffer and play to win games."
The last league meeting between Sevilla and Barcelona was on 27 February 2021.
Barcelona proved too strong for Sevilla as they claimed a 2-0 win in a match that was played at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
