US Sassuolo will play host to defending champions Inter Milan in an Italian
Serie A match at the MAPEI Stadium on October 02.
The Black and Greens secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Salernitana at home in their previous league game which was played on September 26.
The victory ended Sassuolo's four-match winless run in this competition having recorded three consecutive losses and one draw.

The win over Salernitana also ended the Black and Green's two-match winless run at home in Serie A having registered one draw and one victory.
Meanwhile, Inter were frustrated by Atalanta at home as the two teams drew 2-2 in their previous league game which was played on September 25.
As a result, the Black and Blues are unbeaten in their last seven matches in this competition having recorded two draws and five victories.
Inter are also undefeated in their last three away matches in Serie A having registered two victories and one draw on the road.

"We showed our character by drawing a very tough match. We once again managed to display the battling qualities that we needed," Inter forward Lautaro Martinez said after their clash with Atalanta.
"We have to continue down this path. Based on how the game went, it’s probably a point gained, but we did want to win. “We have to improve our consistency within games.
"We were in the lead at home and can’t let other teams back into games. As for penalties, [Federico] Dimarco, [Hakan] Calhanoglu and I all work on them in training."
The last meeting between Sassuolo and Inter in the league was on 07 April 2021.
Inter claimed a narrow 2-1 victory over Sassuolo in a match which was played at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
