Turkey will be desperate to bounce back to winning ways when they host Norway in a
2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Istanbul on Friday evening.
Stefan Kuntz has taken over the reins of the Turkish national team following Senol Gunes' departure a few days after their humiliating 6-1 loss to the Netherlands.

Kuntz played for Besiktas in the 90's and is excited to return to Turkey following five successful years coaching the German U21 national team.
"It’s like coming home. It was an unbelievable one year in Besiktas," Kuntz told reporters in Istanbul last month.
"My wife even still tells me we made a mistake, that we left Turkey too early."
Turkey head into the October round of qualifiers in third place in Group G, two points behind the Netherlands and Norway with four rounds of fixtures remaining.
"I am full of positive energy because I know the potential of Turkish players," Kuntz added. "We are full of self-confidence that we will celebrate future successes."
Norway will be without star striker Erling Haaland for matches against Turkey and Montenegro this month. The Borussia Dortmund forward has been out of action with a muscle injury and has not linked up with his national teammates.

Turkey thumped Norway 3-0 in the reverse fixture played in Malaga, Spain back in March. Ozan Tufan bagged a brace while Leicester City's Cagler Soyuncu was also on target.
