What to know about Rahm
The Spanish star was destined to become one of the top golfers in the world having been the number one golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for a record 60 weeks.
Rahm, who competes on both the PGA Tour and European Tour, has won 19 professional tournaments since he turned professional in 2016.
Nicknamed Rahmbo, Rahm became world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) for the first time in 2020, first achieving that rank after winning the Memorial Tournament.

Latest News
The 28-year-old recently reclaimed the number spot on the OWGR after winning the last PGA Tour tournament he competed in which was Genesis Invitational on 20 February 2023.
Rahmbo and Max Homa battled it out all day at the Riviera Country Club, but a final-round 65 over Homa's 69 sealed the deal for Rahm who has now turned his attention to Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Why Rahm is among favourites
Rahm is the most in form golfer on the PGA Tour at the moment having won three of the five last tournaments he has completed in including a third-place finish at the 2023 WM Phoenix.
The Barrika-born golfer won the 2023 Genesis Invitational, 2023 The American Express and 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Rahmbo will now be determined to consolidate his spot at the top of the OWGR by winning the Arnold Palmer Invitatupnal - especially with second-placed Scottie Scheffler set to compete in the same event.
Quotes
Rahm's win at the Genesis Invitational was his 10th PGA Tour title, one more than his compatriot and idol Seve Ballesteros.
“That was a tough week and a tough Sunday. Max battled out there and Patrick kind of gave us a scare and I’m just glad I could come through at the end," Rahm told the reporters.
"Beating Seve, I know he didn’t play full time on the PGA Tour and I know five of those wins are majors, but still, to reach that milestone of double-digit wins is pretty incredible.
"And to do it at a golf course with this legacy, this history and hosted by the man himself, Tiger Woods, it’s a true honour.”
