US PGA Tour
TPC San Antonio
AT&T Oaks Course
San Antonio, Texas, USA
31 March - 3 April 2022
Jordan Spieth will be determined to successfully retain the
Valero Texas Open title at the TPC San Antonio and emulate golf legends in the process.
The American star won this tournament last year with rounds of 67-70-67-66, beating Charley Hoffman by two strokes, to end a 1,351-day spell without a victory.
Winning this year's event will see Spieth emulate Bill Mehlhorn, Zach Johnson and Justin Leonard, who are the only golfers to win back to back titles.

Spieth is also hoping to become the first Valero Texas Open champion to win back-to-back since fellow major Johnson accomplished the feat in 2008 and 2009.
"Winning the Valero Texas Open last year was incredibly special for me and my family,” Spieth, who is a three-time major winner and the 2015 FedEx Cup champion, said.

“We’re really looking forward to returning to San Antonio to defend my title and the fact that it’s the 100th anniversary of the tournament makes it even more exciting.”

“As we prepare for a historic edition of the Valero Texas Open, we are delighted this incredible group of champions from over the past decade will be returning,” said Larson Segerdahl, Valero Texas Open Executive Director.
“We are excited to host the best players in the world and celebrate 100 years of the tournament with the entire San Antonio community while raising charitable funds for those in need.”
Arnold Palmer and Justin Leonard are the most successful golfers in the history of the Valero Texas Open having won the tournament a record three times.
