Patrick Reed will be keen to become the fourth golfer to win back to back Farmers Insurance Open titles.
The American star, who currently placed 26th in the Official World Golf Rankings, was crowned 2020 champion after he outsmarted five players in the playoff.
Reed posted a four-under 68 on the final day to pull clear of the field and cruise to a dominant five-stroke victory, and it was his ninth
PGA Tour title.

The man nicknamed Captain America is now looking to emulate Jesse Carlyle "JC" Snead, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods who have won back to back Farmers Insurance Open trophies.
However, Captain America was admitted to the hospital having been diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia which forced him to miss the first two FedEx Cup Playoff events of 2021.
Reed returned to action in early September at the Tour Championship and he finished the tournament in 25th place and he was not included in Team US for the 2021 Ryder Cup.
The 31-year-old took part in the recent 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions where he finished 16th as part of his preparation for this year's Farmers Insurance Open.

“I just felt like with the swing changes that [David Leadbetter] and I have been working on throughout this off-season I felt like when I got here, those first, five six, holes I was playing too much golf swing,” Reed said at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
“And when you start playing golf swing and the wind’s kind of blowing a little bit, you can’t play golf swing around here it gets you in some trouble.
"I hit some really squirrely ones early and kind of cost me five, really five dropped shots just in the first 10 holes. And I just told myself, hey, just go back to your simple swing thoughts you had the last couple weeks."
Woods is the most successful golfer in the history of the Farmers Insurance Open having won the tournament a record seven times.
