The 2022
Genesis Open or Invitational is scheduled to be played at the Riviera Country Club between 17 and 20 February 2022.
Formerly known as the Los Angeles Open, the tournament is on the PGA Tour and it was first played 96 years ago in 1926.
It is often the concluding event of the tour's "West Coast Swing" early in the calendar year, before the tour moves east to Florida, USA.

Los Angeles-born Max Homa is the defending champion having won the Genesis Open title last year after a dramatic sudden-death playoff.
This year's tournament is set to be a 120-player field is played out over four days, with this event marking the 16th tournament of the 2021-22 PGA Tour schedule.

The field is headlined by the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Cameron Smith and Collin Morikawa.
While former Genesis Open champions Adam Scott and Bubba Watson will also be part of the 120-player field at the Riviera Country Club.

Ethan Mangum, who is an amateur player, of the College of William & Mary golf program will compete in the 2022 Genesis Open after winning the tournament’s Collegiate Showcase.
“We are excited to welcome Ethan to Riviera as the inaugural Collegiate Showcase Pathway Player,” Genesis Invitational tournament director Mike Antolini said.
“The tournament has a proud history of inclusion and has provided many amateur players with opportunities early in their careers.
"We hope the experience in the Collegiate Showcase will help Ethan on his path to a professional golf career.”
Macdonald Smith and Lloyd Mangrum are the most decorated players in the history of the Genesis Open having won the title four times each.
