The United States Grand Prix was won by Enea Bastianini of Ducati as the Italian rider claimed his second victory of the current campaign.
Bastianini's teammate Jack Miller finished thirds, while Suzuki's Alex Rins secured the runner-up spot in what was the fourth race of the season.
As a result, Bastianini is placed at the top of the 2022 riders' standings with 61 points and he will be keen to maintain his lead at the Portuguese Grand Prix.
While Rins and Aleix Espargaro are placed second and third with 56 points and 50 points respectively heading into this weekend's race.

Suzuki rider Joan Mir was pleased after finishing fourth at the United States Grand Prix and he is currently placed fourth on the riders' standings.
“So to be able to finish here in fourth position is something great, it means that we are doing steps forward, positive ones," Mir said.
"We came from the back, that the last part of the race was positive. And step by step I was overtaking and I was feeling great.
"So [I’m] pleased how everything is going, fourth position is always a position that you don't want to finish in, it's better either fifth or third [laughs] but anyway, it's great.”
Ducati are placed at the top of the Manufacturers' Championship standings and they are followed by KTM and Suzuki respectively.
