Athletic Bilbao will take on Deportivo Alaves in a
Spanish La Liga match at the San Mames Barria on October 01.
The Lions held Valencia to a 1-1 stalemate in their previous league game which was played on September 25.
As a result, Bilbao are winless in their last three matches in this competition having recorded two draws and one defeat.

Lions lost to Rayo Vallecano in their last home match in La Liga and the defeat ended their two-match unbeaten run at San Mames Barria.
“It’s a shame. We’ve missed out on all three points in a match we deserved to win," Bilbao manager Marcelino García Toral said after their draw with Valencia.
“In a week with three games, we have taken far fewer points than we should have done. We have to keep working so that these sort of things stop hurting us.
“The end doesn’t tarnish how satisfied I am with the performance and with how the players worked. We were strong and very solid, especially in defence. We have to be patient and keep trusting in our players.”

Meanwhile, Alaves emerged 1-0 winners over Atletico Madrid at home in their previous league encounter which was played on September 25.
The victory ended the Glorious One's six-match winless run in this competition having recorded six consecutive defeats.
However, Alaves are still winless in their last three matches on the road in La Liga having registered three successive defeats as the visitors.
The last meeting between Bilbao and Alaves in a league match was on 10 April 2021.
Alaves frustrated Bilbao in an encounter that ended in a 0-0 draw at the San Mames Barria.
